The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
This is version two of this song in the Lord of the Rings.
There are three versions that change through the story.
It is a song about the journey of life and what one learns at each stage along the way.
I think I am walking down this part of the path...
