Preaching the gospel with a fist?

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. -Matthew 5:5

After watching the "way of the master" video I posted, I was grieved by the way the transvestite was treated at the end.
Do christians now feel comfortable filming lost people in such a way?
What if that was your son...would the way they handled that young man make you grateful they were the christians Jesus sent to reach your little boy who had fallen into such darkness?

Don't turn the other cheek now...just film it, post it and most importantly use it...
Use people...for our gain, to make our point, to justify our actions, to show others what we do or have had done to us.
I hope to God that if my little girl or my son finds themselves at some broken and sinful place in their lives that they will run into Mother Teresa not these guys or anyone else that has decided that the world needs a talking too.

Thoughtfulness is the beginning of a great sanctity.
If you learn this art of being thoughtful, you will become more and more Christ-like for His heart was meek and He always thought of others. Our vocation, to be beautiful, must be full of thought for others. Jesus went about doing good. -Mother Teresa

Come to me all you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart, and you will find your lives restful. For my yoke is easy and my burden sweet (Mt 11:28-30).
-Jesus

Go and do likewise...-Jesus

That question really got me thinking...Is this how you would want Christians to treat your son if he had fallen into darkness? No. I would want them to build relationship with my son, not just have a 5 minute one way soap box talk and send him on his way. I would want them to be kind...to see past the makeup to the soul. I would want them to lavish him with kindness and treat him like a king. That to me would show him Gods love and have more hope of snatching him from the flames then a few preaching sentances in passing. Good thought...and a good way to put our treatment of the lost in perspective...the kid question.

I guess I'm missing "how he was treated"... Perhaps their point in posting it is off the mark, but the guy witnessing didn't do anything to incur a physical attack. Being choked and struck for sharing in an open-air environment is part of the risk. The guy obviously knew he was on camera before he got up...

I also don't think the WOTM guys would intentionally do something to degrade, but use stuff like that to show that if you intend to step up on that podium/soapbox/step, you'd better be ready for anything to happen, up to and including physical violence.

Again, perhaps it was something that shouldn't have been included, but I understand their point in doing so.

As Christians, we are called to share our faith...does that also mean we are always to let the enemy have the battle without a struggle? Somehow that little "turn the cheek" phrase gets thrown into every discussion, but what did Jesus really mean by that? Even he used the tools at his disposal when he needed to, such as using Scripture defensively, identifying the sins of the pharisees in public when they were ready to stone the adultress, he even froze a large crowd to make his escape.

If Billy didn't want to be preached at, he should have just gotten up and walked off...talking about your country's "rights" while you are assaulting someone is a curious way to make your point.
