Our very first Karen/American was born today, his name is "Eh Ywah Blu Soe" which means "love God, thanks" he was 7lbs 8oz. Tee Tu (father) and Paw Thaw Thaw (mother) are proud and happy for the long delivery to be over. The baby is adorable.

A fitting picture of a new start in a land of freedom and opportunity. Despite his parents' only having been in the States for a couple months and not yet having achieved status as American citizens, doesn't the fact that Eh Ywah Blu Soe was born here bestow that status upon him automatically? Either way, our Karen families have a native son in the United States of America. wow.

Congratulations Paw Thaw Thaw, and papa too. What a blessing, to be born into freedom, but for the grace of God he could have been born in a refugee camp. Let the tribes increase.

I met a woman from Germany yesterday, she told me that Germany doesn't accept any refugees. It is "immigrant free". What a miserable place that must be. ~Matt
