Becoming home

Moon Light's family are quickly becoming more at home here in Spokane. They have a nice 2 bedroom home in our little neighborhood. The children are all registered and scheduled to start school tomorrow at my kids school, in fact July is in Austin's class. Moon Light and YooYue are attending english classes and have learned how to take the bus, shop at Fred Meyer and got their own phone today. They join us for all our services at church. It really has been an amazing journey to watch, shape and enjoy.

YooYue's sister's family arrives Thursday night, another group of 5 and her other sister and her husband arrive on the 25th. We found and secured a 2 bedroom duplex right down the street from Moonlight for the next family and hopefully they will get the keys on Saturday! Now we need to find a one bedroom apartment for the last family.

God has been so faithful and has answered all of our prayers for these families, I give God praise for His care.

They look at ease in the picture. What a gift you all have been for them. Duty, the heart and love. Makes one proud to be for Christ.

"July is in Austin's class" Somehow that sentence causes me to well up. I can just see Austin's beaming face as he helps her in what must be a nearly overwhelming task for her. I will pray that he senses God's duties for him with great clarity. I can see his big heart being a protective big brother to her. What a blessing.
Like Matt said, "makes one proud to be for Christ"

If you know Austin, he is such a neat kid with a big heart and is perfect to help July with this transition. He has empathy for their situation, and really cares about them. I'll never forget after Moon Light's family had been with us for about 4 days, and Austin and Haley had been riding bikes and skateboarding - doing the boy things, he said...
"Ya, Mom...Haley is my good friend, even though he doesn't speak any english."
That's my son, and I'm proud to be his momma. : ) - LeeElla
