Good change...

I just wanted to give God praise. This last year we went through some really tough challenges in our family. Situations that I have hinted at and asked prayer for at various times. I wanted to share and say a big thank you for those who prayed and helped us at various times as we navigated through the parenting challenges that were part of our journey. These last few months have been some of the best in our home due to a number of reasons. I just wanted to extend a word of encouragement to those parents that might be faced with challenges that go beyond your abilities to solve. God is faithful to bring help, grace, wisdom and strategies to help you and your family. Don't give up and don't give in to the sometimes overwhelming nature of some of these stressors. Have faith...God isn't deaf to your pain.

That is a wonderful report. It is a testimony to the willingness to explore all avenues to remedy a problem. Not to pine and whine, but to pray, seek, knock, persist and not give up or in. I like a preacher that lives his faith, and in the most practical of issues, perserveres until God answers. This is parenting at its best. Not to neglect all of the same virtues in your loving pitbull wife, meaning defeat is never considered an option in her heart and mind. My admiration and love to both of you.

The Trammell's have had some rough times in the last year also. Being parents of young children has always had in challenges but I think in todays world of tv, movies, and video games bring a whole new challenge for parents. I thank God for the wisdom of giving us only what we parents can handle and also stepping in when we need a little help.
