Concerning Harry...

The only article I have read that perks my interest in reading these books:

Thank you for posting this amazing article. I read the books and enjoyed them immensely. They were a great addition to my work-outs, because I could literally "walk-away" and hour on the treadmill without even noticing how long it had been.

I fell in love with the characters and looked forward to the release of the last book almost as much as I looked forward to getting my braces off, which is saying something. :)

From a Christian standpoint, and without over-rationalizing about it all, what I found to be the most tragic about the whole Harry Potter topic, was how much time and energy was spent on criticizing the books and the people who chose to read them. Honestly, I really don't think God cares that much about whether we read these books or not. And I definitely don't think His will was for relationships to be harmed by judgement and criticism regarding them. In my own life, the books have provided a bridge for conversations with people that I might not ever have had an opportunity to connect with otherwise.

Thank you, as always, for providing "food for thought."
