Read it if you have sons and/or care about the life of boys today.

The photo essay (The boys are all right) is great:

Hi. I listened to a few of the sermons and heard you mention the differnences between protestants and catholics. As I look into this, can you recommend any resources?
I also read the article in Time ... it was encouraging to see something with a positive outlook.

Phil,
I am a bit behind on the uploading of messages. I hope to catch up this week.

As for the Cath/Pro issue. It's a multi-sided issue. There are core issues centered around the understanding of the gospel, grace, works and authority. In the past I have not been interested in spending to much time on the catholic/protestant divide. But with the recent comments made by the new pope about the true church, catholic supremacy etc...I think the discussion will increase. There are fundamental difference. But that said...most christians dont really know what and why they believe the gospel. They follow Jesus of the heart not the head. Is it real, yes, is it biblical? Not really biblically grounded....just felt.

Will that kind of faith save. People debate that issue. I think it does but like a newborn, you have to start growing in grace and understanding of God and the bible and doctrine to really mature. Can you get into heaven by grace and with poopie pant...yes, but would you want too? Growth glorifies God...Grace enlightens, empowers and undergirds growing up in Christ.

I will try to post more on the issue, Lord willing.
