The Christian Pill...
I know this will get a few folks all in a tizzy but, oh man, this is painfully true. So many people present the way of Jesus in this manner...God help us.

I dig the idea, but I think the only feathers that you are going to ruffle are those who are already enlisted as it were. I don't think anyone believes in this idea, nor would they, as true severance or plea comes when all else has failed, so the only answer is to attempt outside the bounds of practicality. Once you have accepted, as you have done, then it becomes a tenet and a routine pattern of life, but those who have not will only come to this conclusion at the conclusion of more fathomable options. The irony of course, is in fathomable.
