Pearl harbor survivor Houston James of Dallas embraced Marine Staff Sgt. mark Graunke Jr. during a Veterans Day commemoration in Dallas yesterday. Graunke lost a hand, a leg and an eye when he defused a bomb in Iraq last year. -Associated press

This is such a moving picture. I suppose having sons the age of many of our soldiers makes my heart more tender to the sacrifice parents make, sending their sons to war. The appreciation in this old soldiers embrace.... so moving. Dad

I agree. I think it captures the understanding of sacrifice that only another soldier could understand.
