I broke the bars of the yoke...

Letting go of the past is a part of life. You can not go forward into the future if you can not let go of what was behind. Too many people are stuck in reverse. They try so hard to go forward but no matter how hard they press on the gas...they still go backwards!

Thankfully we are not our own saviors and we have a God who knows what it will take to set us free from the chains both internally and externally that often limit us from fully walking in the LIFE of Christ.

"I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and I broke the bars of the yoke and made you walk erect." -Leviticus 26:13

Too many people are walking with bowed heads and hearts, under a heavy burden of the past, or suffocating present or anxiety filled, imagined future.

You have forgotten what it even feels like to "walk erect" anymore. You have had so many things laid on your shoulders that you can't even lift your face to the sun.

The devil is called a "father of lies" for a reason. He speaks lies through people, events, feelings and he even will uses "words" to blur the path ahead. God has called us to walk in the light not the shadows. If I have learned anything from this last season of my life is that the enemy is a liar and he will use anyone and anything to keep us bound, limited, intimidated, fearful and contained.

The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what we are for what we could become.
-Charles Dubois

Destiny is dangerous...because you just might walk out of the clouds...if you follow the light.
